Banner Page Support within RPM

RPM Remote Print Manager supports inserting a banner page for the Raw and Filter type queues. The banner page is ASCII text, in a standard format, and will include all information received in the control file.

Raw Type Queue

  • The banner page insertion includes the option to insert printer commands before the banner page and after using the "Insert Byte" function.
  • Allows support for printing the banner page from a specific tray in Raw type queues.

For more information about Raw Type Queues.

Filter Type Queue

  • This allows inserting the Control file information at the beginning of the data stream.
  • There can be various use cases where this is required.
  • Control file information can include: Host, Class, Job, Source, and Title.
