Examples of RPM COR Settings

If the longest line is less than or equal to 80
cpp = 80
lpp = 60
do portrait

Or if the longest line is less than or equal to 90:
cpp = 90
lpp = 66
do portrait

Or if the longest line is less than or equal to 120:
cpp = 120
lpp = 66
do landscape

Or if the longest line is less than or equal to 132:
cpp = 132
lpp = 66
do landscape

Or (longer than 132):
cpp = average line length
lpp = 66
do landscape

RPM Remote Print Manager™ allows you to fully customize & modify incoming spool files from the host system. Change characters per inch, landscape/portrait settings, font settings, and more. This is the requirement to print spool files that were configured to print on 14 7/8 x 11 7/8 green bar paper on standard cut sheet 8 1/2 x 11 paper size with Landscape orientation. RPM can accommodate this option.

The RPM v5 transforms to use the COR are SCS to Text Markup (Iseries) or Text Markup then apply
Apply COR to Text Markup

Automatically rotate the page and scale the font similarly to that done on a Iseries SCS spooled file when the HPT (Host Print Transform) is applied in the remote outq.

RPM does a superior job vs the HPT as the page is filled not compressed to the left and top of the page. This is not specific to Iseries spool files, the COR can be applied to any plan ASCII text file. One RPM v5 queue can support both portrait and landscape orientation as opposed to the RPM 4.5 multiple queue system.

If you're using an iSeries, please read about AS400 COR and RPM.
