RPM Uses Installed Code Pages
RPM Remote Print Manager™ uses installed code pages to translate print jobs into a form that Windows can print. Code pages typically have a maximum character length of 1 or 2. Single byte code pages include East European, and double byte code pages include Asian languages such as Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, and Korean. Code pages and text printingRPM code page support was designed for text printing. RPM can successfully scale the font, translate single and double byte data and print to any Windows printer. Internally, RPM translates your text data, using the code page you selected, into UTF-8. The text print and PDF generation functions expect the data to be in UTF-8 in order to work correctly. This is why the text markup and related transforms have a code page setting for the incoming data file but not the resulting file. Some issues to be aware of with code pages and text printing:
