Remote Print Administrator Installation

Prior to installing RPM Remote Print Manager™, verify that Microsoft Internet Information Server is installed. If it is not installed, the RPM Elite installation will not provide the ability to install RPA. To install RPM with Remote Print Administrator, follow these steps:

  • Run the setup program by double-clicking the installation file, or choose Start\Run and enter x:\setup.exe if you have disks. Substitute your drive letter for x:.
  • At the Welcome screen, click Next.
  • Please read the license agreement. If you accept the terms, click Yes. Setup will continue only if you accept the terms.
  • You are now asked to choose a setup type. There are 2 setup types to choose from. Typical will install RPM without the files needed for RPA. The Remote Print Administrator setup type will install the files necessary to use RPA and will also appropriately configure a Default Web Site in IIS. RPA is accessed by typing the following into your browser: http://computer/rpm.

RPM Elite is now installed on your computer. The next time Windows is restarted, the RPM service will start automatically. For this reason, there is no need to put an RPM shortcut in your startup folder.
